I recently had the privilege of meeting one of my art heroes Dan Graham. He spent a week here doing studio visits, showing films and spinning vinyl on the local radio. The man knows his music, which was became more apparent to me how passionate he was after viewing his short film “Rock My Religion”. After one of his talks at the Harn Museum I shook his hand and told him how much I enjoyed his stay here etc. I also got to ask him about one of his photographs from his series “Homes for America” being used as the cover of a recent album by the band Real Estate. He said to me “are those guys from New Jersey? I think I might have met them once.”
